Most lessons are taught on our STICK & PUCK sessions, where all skaters and goalies need to pay $20 admission upon entering the facility, prior to taking the ice. If ice has been rented by the coach (or via CatchCorner) there is no added fee.
The Brewster Ice Arena does not book private lessons directly; coaches are subcontractors who make their own rates & availability.
Danny Elser is the Westchester Express Head of Player Development: With a long track record of results teaching lessons one-on-one or in small groups, and has direct access to open ice slots for flexible scheduling. He also offers video review sessions, engaging players off the ice to ensure they are more cerebral and instinctive on the ice. We believe the Express are the best group of coaches in the region, and getting on the ice with any of them is going to benefit any player committed to improving their craft. Express coaches have priority on the ice during sessions at the BIA.
While outside coaches are permitted to teach lessons during Stick & Puck sessions, both the coach and student must pay the $20 entry fee for the session and outside coaches may be confined to one zone based on session volume.
